Trip to the Keys for Bop's Birthday!

We just returned from an awesome trip to the Florida Keys to celebrate Bop's birthday.  I was so excited about this trip, especially for Heyward and Laurie Beth.  The new adventures and many "firsts" they experienced and the excitement on their faces filled my heart!  I loved reviewing these pictures and admiring the pure joy that radiated from all of us!  Here are a few of my favorite memories...

First plane rides....

eating ice cream almost every night from the infamous "Mr. C's"

deep sea fishing and snorkeling...

 beautiful water all around...

Kayaking...

loving each moment together...

dancing the night away....

 delicious food...

chilling out...

and playing in the sun!

The kids (and adults too) loved with the mini-van we rented, the fact that we ate ice cream and Dunkin Doughnuts almost everyday, their new "cool" sunglasses and key lime pie!
D and I can't wait to go back and dive, this place offers some of the most fascinating under water sites!  I feel so blessed to have been able to visit such a beautiful place.  I know Bop had a great birthday and we all enjoyed celebrating with him!

Vacation 2012 (round 1)

Our beach Vacation is filled with...

golf cart rides...

 fun in the sun....

 jumping waves with Deda...

playing in the ocean...

boogie boarding and riding the waves...

having no fear because big brother is near...

goofing off...

getting fed up of having pictures made...

riding scooters and bicycles...

walking to the pier with Bop...

watching over our little sister...

hauling tons of fun stuff on and off the hot sand...

using dump trucks to assist with sand castle building...

and making alligators in the sand with Bop.

Our beach vacations are all about what we want to do and that is being all together!

Weekend Warriors...One Year Later

D and I have been true "Weekend Warriors" while working on our new "old" house.  We have so many great ideas about what we want to do.  All we need is an endless supply of money and time in which neither are available at our local hardware store.  As I look back over all we've done during our weekends this first year I am amazed at the transformation and how things are coming along.  A lot has been happening inside as well, but I will wait till we get a little further along to post.

We went from this...

to this.

Border grass, rock infusion (mess) to...

neat, trim rock wall.

 This...

and this,

to this.

From this,

this,

 and this...
to this!

Here is part of our back yard when we first started,

and now after some TLC.

One of our bathrooms started out like this

and this...

 now is being completely remodeled,

but still in progress!
So much has changed in just a year!  I can't wait to see what we get accomplished in this next year!
