Beach trip = girlfriend!

We went to the beach this past weeknd while D and Bop were in a fishing tournament with some friends.  One of those friends had a sweet wife, three of the most well-mannered boys I have EVER been around and one cute little girl (the youngest.)  As soon as she and Heyward met they were inseperable for the entire weekend.  Whatever she wanted, he wanted and vice versa.  He even kissed her hand and said he "wubbed" her.  Boy am I in for it if this little Romeo is already on the prowl!!!

Summertime!

Heyward has really loved school this year and now that we are out, he still asks "Am I going to
school today?"  He had the greatest teacher and looked forward to everyday!  I know that all will soon change as the older they get the more they don't like school, but it was truly a blessing this year for him to be happy.  Below are a few pics from his class' end of the year party.  It was an outdoor water party, and in case you are wondering....there are girls in his class!
Mother's are special...there are a million reasons why being a mother is hard and undesireable, but there is always 1 very big reason (2 in my case) that somehow cause you to forget or not notice the hardships of such a job.  I have a new appreciation of mother's since my children have come and I still do not think I show that appreciation appropriately to my own mother and my much deserved mother-in-law.  I think there should be a mother's day once a month....where all mothers (guilt-free) get to eat what they want, go where they want and do what they want.  The only problem is.....most mother's would opt to be with their children even on those days, me included!

Jill's wedding!

I was honored to be a part of Jill and Don's wedding mother's day weekend!  She is a great friend and a beautiful bride!
