Getting Ready for the Rodeo...

Here is Heyward right before he left to go to the Rodeo with Deda and Gaga. He looks so big in some of these pictures.

And here is the infamous, Aunt Ashley, "Monkey Face"!

More Fun at the Beach

Heyward came to the beach with Gaga, Mema, Jayme and Jill a few weeks ago. Savannah was next door and loves playing with Heyward. Here are a few pics from that week.

Nemo Birthday cake

Heyward's birthday party was on Saturday the 16th. So on Friday the 15th, Heyward's official birthday, Meme and Papa decided to celebrate with Heyward by getting him a Nemo cake. Heyward loved it! Here are some pictures of the cake and Hey with Meme.

Yee-Haw!!!

Saturday night, Hey spent the night with Deda and Gaga and they took him to the rodeo. Decked out in jeans, cowboy boots and a bandana Hey was ready to go! He rode "Dude" (Hey's word for horse) and watched the "Moos" (Hey's word for cows). He jumped right on the ponies without fear and rode them over and over again. Heyward also saw Emma Grace there but was shy and wouldn't pose for a picture with her :( Here are some pictures courtesy of Gaga of my little cowboy.

Say Cheese! (do the Uncle Ricky)

Sweet ole' Aunt Ashley has taught Heyward what we affectionately call the "Uncle Ricky." This is a grin so big that your eyes close, just like our uncle Ricky. Now, Ashley herself smiles like this so we could really call it the "Aunt Ashley." Unfourtunately, Aunt Ashley already holds the patent on the Monkey Face, which will debut at a later date on the blog. So, these grins are for you Uncle Ricky...we love you!

Hey's bicycle

For Hey's 2nd birthday Da bought him a bicycle. The Huffy "Rocket." It only took him a day and he was off! Another step toward growing up *sniff*... Heyward loves his bicycle and asks to ride it all the time. D has really taken pride in teaching him how to pedal and turn in order to go in a certain direction. My job in these big boy activities is to be behind the camera, something I love doing.

A split household...

As many of you know, D and I are a split household when it comes to college football. D is a diehard Clemson fan while I am a Gamecock. Since we have been married we seem to always make a few Clemson games while not so many USC games, hmmmmm? D is doing his best to convert me by buyign me t-shirts and taking me to games. I enjoy the games and I guess you can say am becoming more comfortable wearing orange. Here are a few pictures from the bowl game last year in Atlanta. We already have scheduled a couple games to go to this coming year!

Here are a few old pictures I had around of Heyward before from the day he was born until recently. They are in NO certain order. Just another reflection since his birthday of how much he has grown and changed!

Birthday Pictures!

I have to say, I couldn't have picked a better girlfriend for Heyward myself...isn't Emma Grace a doll? She is so sweet and Heyward loves playing with her!
See, even grown ups have fun at 2 year old's birthday parties!!
Deda tried his best to teach Heyward how to run the bases after hitting the ball. Sorry Deda, he is only 2 and he will run pretty much where ever he pleases!
Bubbles are one of Heywards favorite things these days. For his birthday he got 2 bubble machines, a bubble gun and tons of the plain old bubbles in a bottle.
The blow up pools were a hit, but the slides not so sturdy. Daddy will have to work on that for the next time we play in them.
Here is cousin Landon playing with the Elmo sprinkler, he is such a cutie!
Heyward and cousins Xander and Bella
Little Miss Elizabeth Grace blowing bubbles.
Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with Heyward. D, Heyward and I really appreciate you coming out to play with us!
