Camoflage Day at school

This week is spirit week at school and today was Camoflage day. Heyward looked very cute in his camo overalls paired with his cowboy boots that Becee and Bop gave him. I told him all about camoflage last night so this morning he saw me dressing in some of D's camo attire and sweetly said, "I wear my camflag, okay Mommy?" At that moment what I wanted to tell him was "Okay Baby, you can wear whatever you want, becasue you are so darn cute!" Tomorrow is pajama day, Thursday is Tacky day and Friday (of course) in costume day.

Heyward's second pumpkin carving

*Notice the sprinkiles spilling from his pocket from where he was baking cookies with Becee...

Unfourtunately, we did not take any pictures last year while carving our pumpkin, but we did this year! It is amazing how much more excited he was this year! He has sang about the 5 little pumpkins sitting on a gate, 3 little witches and other spooky songs and rhymes he has learned at school for the past few weeks. I think my little man is ready for Halloween!

easy dinner...

I have recently discovered after almost 4 years of marriage that the way to my husbands heart is a bowl of homestyle chicken noodle soup (has to be Campbells) and two peanut butter and jelly sandwhiches (have to be cut on a diagonal). I am pretty sure this is a comfort food he enjoyed as a child and Becee probably cut her sandwiches perfectly, just the way he liked it:) I am getting pretty good though and as easy as it is to prepare this meal, I don't mind the practice!

The moral of this story girls ... go out and get a can of soup and make dinner in a snap! (your husbands will hopefully love you for it!)

It's Pumpkin Pickin' Time!!!

Becee, Bop, D, Heyward and I headed out to McLeod Farms for the Pumpkin Festival this past Saturday. As soon as we got there, Heyward immediately wanted to jump in the blow up jump thingy! He was so cute and he held his own pretty well to be one of the smallest in the tent jumping. Afterwards we had lunch, homemade peach ice cream and quickly made our way out to the pumpkin patch becuase our little Heyward was getting ready for a nap. He picked out a tiny pumpkin and Daddy helped him pick out a larger one for us to carve at home. It was a very nice afternoon and we took advantage of the great opportunities for photos! Heyward also got to see some of his friends from school, if only he weren't in such an ill (ready for a nap) mood!!!

Laurie Elizabeth Brown :)

Here she is...Laurie Elizabeth Brown (Laurie Beth). We are so excited! The nurse that did the ultrasound said she was pretty sure it was a girl, but for us not to go shopping yet. I feel very confident it is a girl! When I went to the doctor yesterday I was only 15 weeks pregnant instead of the 17 weeks we were thinking so they couldn't take all the measurements they normally do at 17 weeks. So...I have to go back for another ultrasound at 19 weeks to get those measurements taken. D is making me hold off until the next ultrasound to start buying little pink dresses just in case! Either way, we are delighted that we have a healthy baby, boy or girl. I feel like God has just handed us the second biggest blessing of our lives. I feel honored that he gave us Heyward, and now my heart is just swelling over Laurie Beth and the fact that we are getting the opportunity to have another child.

D and I have little fish and we don't keep them in a bowl!

For some strange reason our children love water and espciallly the bathtub. Anyone who has ever been at our house can tell you about our little dog G. He is obsessed with the bathtub. Just mention the word and he is off to get in. This works to our advantage in some cases where we want him out of the room for a bit. It has come to our attention, however, that Heyward is also water, bathtub, shower crazed. Here is a bit of proof.......

Fun at the Fair:)

We had a blast at the fair on Monday! Just D, Heyward and I went. We waited in long lines, rode all the kiddie rides, ate a funnel cake, looked at a barn full of chickens that basically were all the same, petted a donkey, and got real close to lots of other animals. Heyward was very patient and took it all in. Daddy was very patient too! I think D even enjoyed riding the rides with Heyward.

Heyward's special day at school

On September 22, Heyward celebrated his birthday at school and was terrific kid. Since his real birthday is in August, Miss Sue let us pick a date for him to have his special day at school. We made cupcakes the night before for their snack. Gaga came to school and brought his cupcakes, goldfish and juice during his snack time. The kids sang happy birthday to him and he got to be the leader for the day. Here are a few pics we got of that day. I know it was a while ago, but better late than never!

I am such a FAT pregnant person!!!!

I was snooping on my mother's computer tonight and found something very interesting. I thought for sure I had done an excellent job staying out of all pictures and videos during my pregnancy with Heyward. I swear I knew I was big, but not this ENORMOUS!!!! Getting there......

WOW! Can I even breathe? Someone call Sea World...Shamu escaped!!!!

And just to put things in perspective, here is a picture of me back this spring.... It's like the moment I conceive, my body decides to start storing fat for five winters!!! We'll I guess treating myself to a ham biscuit a couple times a week and the fact that I am totally craving cheetos doesn't help! Lord, please grant me the willpower to only gain the weight necessary for this baby to be happy and healthy!

I wish I could post a picture of myself recently (NOT!!!!), but I WILL NOT take a picture with out force for the next 6-9 months. D has already made the eerie comment to me about my "growing" body, just like on that horror film, "It's BAAAAAAAAACCCKKK!!"
