Heyward and Laurie Beth's Baptism

D and I recently had Laurie Beth baptised and since we were joining a Methodist church, Heyward was baptised as well.  It was a very special day for our families.  Heyward woke up that Sunday morning with 103.0 temperature.  We gave him some tylenol and just prayed that we could make it through the service.  He did GREAT, especially to be as sick as he was.  We found out the next week that he had (has) mono!  His lovely sister, Miss Laurie Beth certainly stole the attention of everyone in church by screaming and crying at the top of her lungs during the whole baptism ceremony!  I am sure that I was four different shades of red standing in front of the church with my child who normally only smiles all the time, but decided that she is going to scream while all eyes are on her!  I have to thank all of our family for all their hard work preparing for this day.  Becee arranged the food and many of the grand and great-grand parents brought dishes that were delicious!  We had so much food and enjoyed ourselves very much.  Lucy and Mrs. Lea did a great job decorating.  I was really impressed at how nice everything was.  My children have the best grandparents in the entire world!  d and I are so blessed and we love our families so much!

It's been too long!

I have so much to tell (but very little time)....we have been so busy...and most of it is planning for important events yet to come.  Laurie Beth and Heyward are both being baptised at St. Luke on Sunday the 21st.    D and I have always been christians, but not always in perfect graces so to speak.  We are happy to give our children over to God and make a new commitment ourselves.  Anyway, here we are, a simple, ordinary, family of four in a few snapshots of our life the past few weeks.
Standing up, eating cereal with my daddy, She wants to walk so bad!
swim lessons, he jumps off and goes under and all that big boy stuff
playing at the play ground with my sister
a smiley Laurie Beth, she is definitely a light in my life!
I love these kids more than anything, I really can't imagine life without them
what a chef!  Isn't he handsome?
Teaching Daddy how to cook, I think they cooked eggs and steak...what a "manly" combination!

Life with two kids may not often be described as "easy" or a "bowl of cherries", but indeed it is so wonderful, you wonder why isn't everyone doing it?
